Who // Gary Golembiewski, Photographer
Locale // New York City
We caught up with a very special contributor to West 14th’s brand identity and look book aesthetic. Hear from Gary on all-things New York and collaborating with West 14th.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
I have been photographing since sophomore year in high school. Professionally, I have been working in the industry for almost 10 years.
Q: What is your favourite place in New York to shoot?
The great thing about New York is that the possibilities are endless. Every street, every block, every neighbourhood, they all have something unique to offer and they all have a different story to tell.
Q: Any exciting upcoming projects you are working on?
I’m always working on something exciting!
Q: How did you come to work with West 14th?
During a 12 month working vacation in Sydney, a chance encounter via LinkedIn kicked off a great working relationship between Violeta and I. We joined forces and have been working closely on the W14th brand since.
Q: What is the most exciting aspect of working with West 14th?
It has been great to help the brand grow from the ground up. Contributing to the W14th brand from the beginning has given me the chance to help the brand go from strength to strength and to see it reach the potential which was obvious from the get go.
Q: What piece is a must-own from the collection?
It has to be the Greenwich Street Motor Jacket, or the Brooklyn Leather Skins. Both are classic staples that my wife won’t stop “hinting” about!
